Orangeburg Preparatory Schools students ushered in spring with their annual May Day celebration Sunday, May 4. Maria Leigh Thompson was crowned May Queen; Anne Griffin Patterson, Maid of Honor; and Christen Taylor Dawkins was crowned Junior May Queen.

Highlights of the entertainment extravaganza included a fifth-grade "High School Musical" dance medley, pictured; a first- and second-grade routine to "Splish Splash," complete with bathrobes and sponges; and a finely choreographed "Thriller," performed by the senior class boys.

Third-graders wowed the crowd with a country line dance, and the traditional May Pole dance was performed by the fourth grade. Needless to say, the queen's court and a packed house of Orangeburg Prep parents and friends were royally entertained!
