Colorectal cancer is focus


A free colorectal cancer education forum, sponsored by the Regional Medical Center, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, in Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College’s Roquemore Auditorium.

Orangeburg surgeon Dr. Michael Hill, the RMC’s cancer liaison physician for the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons, and colon cancer survivor and registered nurse Lisa Cecchini will be the speakers. Seating is limited, and registration is required by Tuesday, March 18. Also, this month’s Lunch & Learn topic is “Colon Cancer: Are You at Risk?” Lunch & Learn will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, in the RMC’s private dining rooms, located on the hospital’s ground floor. Speakers will be Mabry Center Director Theresa Chandler and Cecchini.
