Rast named drill sergeant
Friday, September 28, 2007Sgt. 1st. Class Kevin G. Rast of Bowman, was recently selected drill sergeant of the Cycle for D. Company 3rd. Battalion 47th Infantry Regiment at Fort Benning, Ga.
Rast's past assignments include two tours of Afthanistan, Korea, Oman, Yeman, Somalia, Saudi, Arabia, Fort Stewart, Ga., and Fort Bragg, N.C.
Rast, the son of Lee and Bernice Rast of Bowman, has received numerous awards, including the Sgt. Audie Murphy Award and two Bronze Stars.
