2017 High School Players of the Week
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- In his first varsity start at
quarterback for Calhoun County, senior Andrew Isgett went 20-for-30 passing for
318 yards and five touchdowns through the air, along with 53 rushing yards and a
touchdown on Friday, in a 42-36 home win against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Dorchester Academy senior
linebacker Jack Berry led the Raiders with 9 tackles, including a sack, an interceptions
and a fumble recovered and returned for a touchdown in Thursday’s 46-0 home
shutout of Northwood Academy.
The two players will be recognized at the Orangeburg Touchdown Club meeting
on Thursday, Sept. 14 at The Cinema. The OTC meal begins at 11:30 a.m., with the
meeting to follow at noon. Guest speaker for the meeting will be Wofford College
head football coach Mike Ayers.
